Summary
Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago are a Classic™ example of a theater rivalry– competing for roles as long as they can remember, striving to be Holt's favorite student actor (his favorite is Gina, but no one needs to know that).
The dynamics of Jake and Amy's rivalry start to twist when they enter high school, getting cast as romantic leads year after year. They begrudgingly put up with this— until senior year rolls around and they find out that they have to kiss on stage.

Summary
High school AU
When Jake Peralta was forced into tutoring with straight-A Amy Santiago, he didn't think anything was going to come of it. He didn't expect for his grades to improve, and he //never// expected for them to become anywhere close to friends. But when his grades actually do improve and he starts doing well he realizes that if he continues getting good grades that means he won't have tutoring anymore, meaning he wouldn't have Amy anymore.
He wasn't left with any choice but to sabotage his progress.
