In his profession John would usually be much less entertained by the sight of a slim, sylphlike figure, all long limbs and alluring angles, staging a surreptitious approach under the cover of darkness, but as he marvels at the way the moonlight reflects of the intricate jewelry and the white on white outfit, he can't help but think that if the Japanese finally decided to switch it up and replace the grizzled and hardened yakuza members with an otherwordly looking twink with affinity for lace and flashy sportswear, then they should at least get points for originality and style.

The battle between Earth and Asgard had been going on for years, now.
With Thor by their side, the Avengers had held their ground against Odin's relentless efforts to take over their realm; batallions of Einherji had failed to make a dent in their defenses, and Tony was liking their odds of showing the would-be conqueror just how tenacious mortals could be.
At least, he liked them, until the new guy showed up.
Loki, Thor called him, but that was most of what he could tell them, was powerful, sly, and clearly determined to mess with them. He was a chaotic, mischievious little bastard, and for the love of science, Tony couldn't understand why Odin's supposedly most loyal servant wasn't making use of his skills to turn the tide his master's way...

“He is not here,” Thor stated, frustration coming through his tone. “Not anymore. He might have sensed us coming.”
“The blood traces stop near the door.” the Spider asserted flatly after a few instants, provoking another short pause. Loki, at the exact words, told himself to cover his tracks better if something similar happened a second time, caught off guard or not.
“If he is still bleeding like that, he might not be far.”
Or, Loki left before the Avengers arrested him. It changes a lot of things.

Call it casual sabotage..."Lies, manipulation, trickery- its what makes Loki, well, Loki. Tony Stark knows that forgiving the God and actually trusting him are two things that are genuinely laughable, only because they'll never happen. After the invasion of New York, Tony would have loved nothing more than to never see that pretentious God and his arrogant smirk ever again. Just knowing Loki was rotting away in chains far away on Asgard was good enough for him.
Apparently, though, it wasn't good enough for Odin.
But just because the devious God of Mischief now loomed beneath the roof of Avengers Tower, brooding miserably in his cell, didn't mean that Tony actually had to acknowledge him and talk to him, did it?
