“Shouldn’t Okkotsu-senpai… see someone?” Yuji’s voice was hesitant. He was the last to learn what was going on. Most of the time, the situation was treated somewhat casually. Toge himself treated it casually sometimes, because otherwise he had a feeling it would make it a thousand times more serious for Yuuta if he were to make it serious.
“Yuuta is stubborn,” Toge said. “Whether he sees someone or not, this is how he is.”
“So he’s tried seeing someone before?” Maki asked.
Toge nodded. “Several times.”
“And it didn’t help,” she concluded.
“No,” Toge said.

When they were eight years old, Yuuta, Toge, and Rika were involved in an accident that left Yuuta relatively unscathed, Toge with some lasting injuries, and Rika dead. Yuuta is attached, constantly afraid something will happen to Toge if he’s not there to stop it. And Toge is, in his friends’ opinion, too unbothered by this.

When Chuuya awoke, a familiar pair of amber eyes was staring into his own like most mornings.
He was well aware of the fact Dazai was a light sleeper – if he slept at all, that is – so he’d gotten used to the sight greeting him. It had become somewhat of a comfort if he was honest, getting the immediate confirmation he wasn’t alone the moment he opened his eyes.
Confirmation that he hadn’t been left behind or abandoned.
Again.
With a small smile, Chuuya moved to press a kiss against Dazai’s lips, choosing not to let such negative thoughts ruin his morning. The other hadn’t given him any indication he had plans to leave again, so there was no need to worry this much.
As a matter of fact, they were actually doing quite well lately.

Or: Chuuya hires Poe to write novels about Dazai after his death. While it's not the worst coping mechanism in existence, it's certainly not the healthiest either.

A tax, a bail, a bounty, and she never has enough.
They look at her, there’s a horribly familiar laugh, and then…
Well. Then she wakes up.

Not an inch, a voice that sounds suspiciously like Shoko reminds him. Infinity.
But does it feel like infinity? When summer’s humidity swells to its peak, can Gojo feel the pressure? When a barrage of low-level curses ambushes them in Roppongi, can he sense their velocity, the twist of the wind? When Suguru grazes the immovable space between them – hands him a test paper, shoulders past him in the corridor, reaches out, unthinking, to slap him on the back – does Gojo know the warmth of Suguru's skin?
Then, on July 12th, in a sour-smelling alley in Katsushika ward, Suguru catches him. Hunched over, spindly legs crouched, a street-worn cat pressing her nose to his fingertips. In the heat of the moment, perhaps it was an appropriate thing to say. You spend so much time around this man you trust him with your life. Apparently, L was stupid with love, smart with just about everything else. He’d have made better decisions if there wasn’t something in his drink, whatever was mixed in with the tall milkshake he’d been nursing all night was impairing his ability to think straight. That was why. He didn’t even know who had done it, it could’ve been Matsuda, hell bent on him having a good time at a party he felt so out of place in- or Misa in some kind of revenge plot to embarrass him. Even Light, great as he is, could not have predicted L making such a mistake.

L must come to terms with the fact that his death is most certainly nearer than it ever had been before; it wasn’t because of any stroke of genius on Light’s behalf, no. It was a complete lapse of judgement and trust, from L himself.
