Carol had thought that she was done experiencing fresh horrors. What a nightmare it is to realize that she is not. “Oh, god.” She says.
“Oh, god,” Zosia agrees.
After they manage to break Zosia free of the hive, Zosia and Carol try to navigate the field of landmines that is their relationship.

Summary
They don't get many visitors here, and a u-wing is practically unheard of. Vel scrambles out of bed, and when she gets to the window, she peers out in the early morning gloom. That's when she sees it. High, circling above them, searching for the rag-tag landing pad they installed when the first arrived.
The sight of it hovering in the air reminds her of a different lifetime. Of standing in the comms room on Yavin watching the ships come in.
'Strangers?' Kleya says, sleepily, from the door to the bedroom, clicking her enhancers on.
'I don't know.'
'Probably someone come to save us from apparent destitution on the outer rim.'
