Summary
When his hands leave the glass, his eyes flick up to where Jayce is across the room. It’s instinctual, something deep in his gut that his brain permits of him even though he knows it’s not a good idea.
When their eyes meet and he catches the confused, downtrodden look on Jayce’s face at Viktor’s early self-dismissal, Viktor feels a growl rip from his throat. He tears his eyes back to the doorway— anger and shame heavy on his heart— and leaves.
After bearing witness to Jayce’s flirtatious, confident self during a fundraising gala, Viktor grows resentful and escapes to feel his anger elsewhere.
Jayce, who watches him leave, catches up to him.

Viktor tilts his head, acting cute. “So… what?”
Jayce looks down at Viktor’s lips again, dying to dive in for more but holding himself back. “So, what is this?” He says, his voice low. He reaches a hand forward, pressing his thumb into Viktor’s hipbone.
Viktor hums, thinking to himself for a moment before crowding into Jayce’s space again and kissing him hard.
Pulling back with a dazed look, Viktor's hands slide down the front of his chest until the warmth of his palms rest against Jayce's stomach.
“Lets just call it a fun summer break?”
Hired by his mother's friend to clean her pool during summer break, Jayce meets Viktor and the two get on like a match to fireworks. Throughout their fun, casual relationship, Jayce yearns to learn more about the whimsical boy who takes his breath away.

“This is a hate crime,” Viktor declares.
It is barely an exaggeration to say their dorm room currently has a hundred degrees celsius and they’re being slow cooked in the late afternoon heat. Viktor knows what dying feels like and this is too fucking close.
“So, is it the sun that’s homophobic or the AC for breaking in the heat?” Jayce has the audacity to chuckle like he isn’t melting on the floor right next to Viktor.
“Both. And you, too, for being in such a good mood while I’m suffering,” Viktor grumbles. “Seriously, I can’t make it to Friday like this.”
