The Winter Soldier thrashed, drowning. It was taking forever. His mask seemed to be stuck. He pulled on it, struggling to draw breath, sinking and resurfacing, clawing at his face, the panic in his eyes terrible.
Steve's would-be killer. The very worst HYDRA had ever conjured. A symbol of death and everything he stood against. And Steve just couldn't bear it. He was ready to go, but this guy clearly wasn't.

The premise: the Winter Soldier's mask doesn't come off quite as easily. Meaning, Steve never saw Bucky's face, and he didn't hold back during the fight on the Helicarrier. This is where the story picks up and is no longer canon-compliant. Though, I've stolen some ideas from the sequels and deliberately contradicted some future plot points/established canon.COMPLETED

Louis's hand is rucking up Eleanor's top, splaying out across her back. Perrie leans into Zayn, and he looks at her. She says nothing, but raises her eyebrows slightly at him. Zayn opens his mouth, but doesn't know what he means to say.
It's couples' night in, and five bottles of red wine means things get messy.

Louis bites his lip because what are he and Nick actually? They’ve been hanging out together more and more often lately but it’s mostly to eat and drink wine and slag off X Factor contestants. Nick’s home has custody of Louis’ favorite dog and maybe sometimes they seem to have fun together, but it’s not anything more than that. It’s certainly not any kind of thing like Harry’s set on implying.

It would reach the press. He'd be in the news - CEO and Founder of BeepFodder Niall Horan Sexually Manipulates Underlings. His mum has an alert for him on her computer and she'd see it and have a heart attack. They'd lose sponsors. Even if they didn't publish the footage, it'd still exist. It all still would have happened. Harry would know Niall likes him. The thought of the most vulnerable spots in his heart being captured on film and shown to millions of people makes Niall sick. Going through with this in a legitimate way would ruin his life no matter what.
