Sex was supposed to make you feel good, wasn't it? But he didn't have a clearer mind, or a more relaxed body. If anything, his mind was foggier, his body more tense, than before or during the act.
His stomach ached, the same way it did before a big game. The same way it did when his dad saw them at the cottage. The same way it did back when he was in school, hiding in classrooms to avoid the bullies that looked down on him. It ached like a storm was coming, like bile was crawling its way up his throat.
