Summary
It had happened once before. Long before they shared a bed or called each other by name, on a mission in Morocco. For the first time in his memory, Omen had slipped up - and died as a result. So Cypher had known the risks when he opened his heart to the wraith. Known that when Sage crudely jammed what was left of Omen's soul back into his body, he was the only one who's memories stayed dead. Sage theorised it was due to Omen's scarcely corporal form, Viper posited that it was psychological - his mind messed with one too many times. Cypher had known the risks. But it could never prepare him for the blank stare he received when his lover was revived a second time after a bullet to the head.
Or Omen is the only one to lose his memory every time he is revived by Sage. Cypher must grieve for someone who is still technically there.
