“Do I get one?” Yohan huffs.
Gaon hides a laugh in a fake cough. Drinks his water. Elijah grudgingly deposits a fritter into Yohan’s dish. Later, he and Yohan go and interrogate a man together in a warehouse. On the ride home Gaon thinks about buying carrots, making carrot salad, a lot of it. It’ll keep well in the fridge. Maybe it was the gold bars that made him think of the color. He is probably losing his mind.

He had become the ashes of a forgotten hero ، no one chanted his name in the streets anymore, and the country had sunk even deeper into darkness.Gaon no longer cared.
All he wanted was to disappear as well, to fade into oblivion after failing the people who once believed in him.Yohan reappears, trying to revive what once existed between them and to take revenge on those who caused its ruin while Gaon isn’t sure whether he wants that or not.
