When Kagami lands, there’s pain shooting up the muscles in his legs and a shake in his knees, but the socks compress the ache, and the screams from the crowd and stampede of shoes against the floor makes him forget about it as he shoots the ball from his hand and into Furihata’s.
(A story about the Inter-High; Kagami tries to hide it, but Aomine notices one way or another.)

On Thursday, an angel showed up to get in the way of Kuroko Tetsuya's perfectly ordinary life of surviving the demons who all wanted to devour his soul. An angel named Aomine Daiki.
“Aomine-kun,” he said, planting himself between the angel and the Bulls game on TV to ensure that he would not be ignored, “is there some reason you are here in my home?”
As opposed to out actually doing whatever job it is an angel does, dripped from Tetsuya’s tone.
Aomine looked up at Tetsuya, annoyance from his game being interrupted in the very arch of his half-spread wings, and said, “I’m here to protect you.”
