without his permission his head drooped, exhaustion too severe not to relax that little bit, and his eyes met the sight of gentle scaled paws beneath him, tinted in a familiar shade of pink.
With a cry, he tried to leap back, subconsciously suppressing the realization that should have come, consciously leaping away from the lizard that had somehow positioned itself underneath him.
As he moved, the paws moved too, flowing along with his new form as if natural, like they had always been a part of him, claws flexing and extending at his command to prepare himself for an attack… as if…---
