Summary
Mike Wheeler writes fantasy novels now.
In his second book, a paladin falls in love with a cleric he loses long before either of them learn how to speak honestly.
Will Byers reads the dedication two years after they stop talking.
Or: to my cleric — i remember, and it was real to me.

Summary
It's fucking hot out, and the sun is so bright that it's reflecting off the surface of the water and right into his eyes, so Mike really has no choice but to look over at Will, who's blushing pink and has his shoulders curled up into his ears in this endearingly bashful way, and maybe Mike is drunk, because that's really the only explanation for why he opens his mouth and says, "I know I'm not an authority on hot guys, or whatever, but if you, um. If your dry spell is really an issue, I'm here."
And then he jumps promptly back into the pool.
When he surfaces, Will is staring at him like he's grown two extra heads. "What?"
"Okay, that was kind of stupid of me to say," Mike admits, treading water.
Apparently, it's been a criminally long time since Will has had sex that was actually good. Mike, with all of the zero experience he has under his belt, is compelled to take matters into his own hands by forces outside his control - forces completely unrelated to Robin's lethal tequila pours, of course.

Summary
“What exactly does this pact entail, then?”
Mike leans forward very seriously, bringing his face close to Will’s.
“When they make it legal for you to get married, because they will.” He pauses, as if to make sure that Will is listening. Will laughs and nods for him to go on. “And if we’re both still alone and miserable—”
“Wow. Is that the awesome future you’re painting for us on our last night?”
“Shh.” Mike is doing a decent job at staying in character, but the crinkles around his eyes are giving him away. “If we’re both still alone by then… and at least partially miserable. That part’s important,” he continues dramatically, “I’ll marry the shit out of you, William Byers. Deal?”
Or, before heading off to college, Mike and Will make a pact. Fifteen years later, gay marriage is legalized in the state of Massachusetts. These two events are intrinsically linked to one another.

Summary
No, there was no way. Like seriously no way. He’d just been thinking about Will a lot recently. Will was far too shy to pose for pictures like this. He just… wouldn’t do that. Not his Will. Mike would just find the page again and prove it was someone else. He would open the magazine and see a stranger on the page, and everything would be fine.
As he flipped back, he prayed to a God that he didn't believe in. Please, let that model be a stranger.
How gay is it to jerk off after stumbling across a suggestive picture of your old best friend? Maybe it’s excusable. Suggestive is suggestive, after all. And everyone can agree that Will is a stunning dude.
But joining an AIDS coalition, getting a lap dance from a drag queen, spending the night in a holding cell, and accidentally finding a place in Chicago's queer community?
Yeah, that’s… pretty gay.

Summary
Hawkins | Summer of 1990
Mike projects his feelings through a dungeons and dragons character he’s helping Will write named “Melchor”, a fallen Paladin, who also happens to be a peeping tom obsessed with a Cleric.
What begins as harmless watching and roleplay quickly turns into voyeurism: binoculars aimed at Will’s bedroom window, stolen NSFW sketches, and dangerously intimate D&D roleplay that reveals far more about Will and Mike's desires/insecurities than they're prepared for.
As Mike’s shame surrounding his sexuality deepens, his fixation on Will begins to consume them both—until the voyeur meets his perfect match: an exhibitionist who might enjoy being watched just as much.
Healing through kink. Emotional Slow burn. Mutual obsession. Voyeurism/exhibitionism. Kink. Punk Wheeler. Yearning. Angst
