Summary
I let out a trembling breath. “Do you… You mean it’s… it’s over? It’s finally… It’s—” My vision gets blurry.
Madoka inhales sharply. “Oh— Gosh, yeah, I’m— I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have hit you with so much at once. I should’ve— Ugh.” Madoka shakes Her head before pulling me towards Her. I’m too shocked, too confused, too tired to react as She snakes Her arms around me, rests my head on Her shoulder, touches my back, touches my hair, touches me at all. “Yes. It’s over. Everything’s gonna be okay. I’m safe. We’re all safe. You don’t have to fight anymore. We’re gonna— We’re gonna be okay. I promise. I promise.”
---
Homura wakes up. Almost everything is different. One or two things are the same.
