Frank stands up, stepping smoothly into Ray’s space. He has to tilt his head a little to look up at him, since he really only comes up to Ray’s chin when he’s standing straight up.

“It’s kind of a miracle Frank hasn’t been sick since Warped.”
Gerard and Mikey both sigh loudly in unison,
“Well he will now, Toro, what the hell,” Gerard says, crossing his arms and shaking his head.
“You guys are such superstitious idiots,” Ray says, rolling his eyes so hard his mane of hair moves, too, “I swear, it’s all your mom’s creepy fucking dolls. You guys were raised by god damn warlocks or some shit.”
“Warlocks of New Jersey, save that for a band name!” Frank says, giggling again. The others groan at Frank’s nonsensical laughter, used to and fondly annoyed by his typical post-show hyper energy. Gerard can’t help but find him adorable. Ridiculous, sure, but standing there laughing at nothing, reaching up to loosen the red tie from his stage outfit, expression open and unguarded and obviously just so fucking happy to be hanging out with his band, Gerard thinks he’s kind of fucking beautiful. They all relax for a second. That is, until Frank’s laughter devolves into harsh coughing.

Summary
For 2 years, the house next door sat empty, and Gerard liked it that way. Quiet evenings, reasonable bedtimes, nobody on the other side of the shared wall in his little slice of heaven in Belleville.
Then Frank Iero moved in, some punk kid seemingly determined to make Gerard's life as difficult as possible, and that peace was destroyed. The walls are thin, Frank is loud, and now Gerard is forced to go back over there time and time again to complain, and he's starting to think the brat is just pushing him for a reaction.

Gerard sighed again and smiled, allowing his eyes to close as he drifted forward to press his forehead against Franks. “Just me and you?”

Frank had made the promise a long time ago that whatever was going on between them was never to be spoken about to their mutual friends. And he'd kept his word; to the outside world they appeared as nothing more than friends, while behind closed doors they kissed and complimented each other fiercely. Gerard sometimes saw the way Frank would gaze at him when nobody else was looking and it would take all of the strength he could muster to not react, to not feel everything simmering beneath the surface.
Gerard couldn't deny how much more heightened his senses were now that he was fully sober; everything felt different, better. Frank's skin felt warmer and the way Gerard's cock was painfully swollen was spreading heat through him in gentle pulses, no doubt turning his cheeks rosy red. Gerard kept his eyes closed as he moved closer, he didn't need to look to be able to find Frank's lips; he was sure he could find them in every universe.
