Out of practice with relaxation, Xie Lian doesn't expect much more than a week of privacy in which to lick his wounds and try to start over. He certainly doesn't expect San Lang, the bold and spirited young man he encounters on the way, who seems determined to raise Xie Lian’s standards /for/ him, who somehow has all the gossip on the island resort they’re both going to— as well as its notorious owner, Hua Cheng.
Maybe 'unexpected' is exactly what Xie Lian needs.

Hua Cheng went right in for a taste with a broad swipe of her tongue over the mess of sweat and lipgloss, and helpfully added: “Can’t jiejie give me something to eat now?”
The tone was cleverly masked as teasing– only a semblance of a question. Really, both Hua Cheng and Xie Lian knew it wasn’t a matter of asking. They had agreed on this arrangement a long time ago: if Hua Cheng was hungry, then Hua Cheng would eat, no questions asked– and Xie Lian was forever the only thing on the menu.
