After a long, warm, very thorough shower, Henry dressed in his pajamas - and then, his secret weapon. His green silk robe lined with dark green faux feathers. It all but awoke Alex like some sort of sleeper agent whenever he wore it, and so he saved it for special occasions. He thought a proper apology for being a right dick was occasion enough.
Leaving their bathroom with a flourish, Henry heard a telltale hitch in Alex’s breath, a small cough let out to cover it up.
“What are you wearing?” He asked stiffly.
“This old thing? I just threw it on,” Henry said with forced nonchalance. “Why?”
“Why? He says like he doesn’t know what that fucking robe does to me.”
OR
After a fight, Henry makes it up to Alex with feathers, a silk robe, and submission.

Henry never thought he’d ever experience waking up in the arms of the man he loves inside of Kensington Palace – or any royal abode – in his lifetime. But he’s ever so glad that he’s been proven utterly wrong by one Alexander Gabriel Claremont-Diaz. Alex whom he has hurt immeasurably but reached out a hand towards him all the same, Alex whose hand Henry finally reached back to take, and Henry knows he will do his level best to make up for all the hurt he has caused for as long as Alex will have him.
And Henry supposes, he cannot be fully blamed for wanting one of those methods to be a slow, sensual round of morning sex with Alex after waking up ensconced securely in Alex’s arms.

Alex peers up at Henry’s face, the familiar tenseness in his jaw and mildly disinterested eyes nowhere to be seen. Instead, Henry’s expression is open and borderline delighted, like Brie used an extra strong shot of sorcery to draw Henry in and melt the ice that he usually stays locked behind.
Suddenly, Alex’s vague crush on an unapproachable coworker feels realer, all because he’s standing there and looking at Alex’s daughter like she hung the fucking moon. He’s treating the most important person in Alex’s life—his entire goddamn heart—as if she truly matters to him, giving her fist bumps and smiling at her and telling her she’s beautiful like her dad.
It’s doing weird things to Alex’s chest and making his palms sweat even in the air conditioned office, and he can’t decide if he’s okay with that development or if he wants to stick his head in Brie’s Easy-Bake oven.
