"So, ye really never take it off, then,” Soap said bluntly. He’s nursing whiskey, lamely, because while he had taken at least a few sips while sitting in this dingy bar, he’d really been more distracted with the rest of the team.
For example, his lieutenant, who gave the impression of someone who didn’t want to be looked at more than once. Unfortunately— he’d already solidified himself as Soap’s number one target of interest.
“I wasn’t lying to you,” Ghost said back, flatly.
“Aye. Just figured… if ye bought a drink,” he gestured, “surely ye’d take the thing off. Unless ye’r planning on waterboarding yerself.”
Ghost looked at him blankly, unamused as his head tilted to the side. “Have a fascination with my face, do you?”
Just with you, I’m afraid, Soap thought.

Summary
So, Soap’s a big guy. Obviously.
He’s not overly tall, but he’s wide in the shoulders and thick in the thighs. He’s the kind of big that’s naturally built all over: training muscles on top of mission muscles on top of an innate bulk.
He’s the kind of big that makes him immovable to most guys.
The kind of big that’s always been -ger than most everyone else—if not by height, than at least by heft.
So when they’re on mission and Ghost spots a grenade before Soap does, and, with no time to warn him, grabs him by the waist and flings him back behind cover, gear and all, Soap’s really not expecting to think much about it, aside from maybe, ‘Oh, shit.’
What he thinks instead is: ‘Oh-hmm.’
And then, in rapid succession: ‘Big.’

Or, Soap realizes that Ghost is bigger than him. His dick realizes that’s hot.

Summary
Soap was buzzing. The post-mission high was hitting full force. Everything had gone well, with no fuck-ups and no sudden problems cropping up. An uncomplicated adrenaline rush without the added guilt of what he could have done better. What was better than that? His entire body was thrumming with it as he tapped his fingers on his thigh for something to do to get the excess energy out.
The only thing to sour his mood was that Ghost had been far more aloof during this mission than normal. It had set Soap on edge immediately. He had tried to crack Ghost with his usual teasing but nothing had stuck. In the end, he had given up, focusing on the mission at hand.
Ghost didn’t speak to him on the chopper back, either, which left Soap feeling antsy. Fine, he thought resolutely, tension still thrumming through his body, if Ghost didn’t want to acknowledge his existence, that was fine by him. Even if he had no idea what had changed between them.
Soap is upset when his crush on Ghost seems to be going nowhere, so he tries to get over him by getting under someone else. The only thing he didn't count on was Ghost being such a cock block.
