Kyouji lets out a huff that sounds a little like incredulous laughter, a little like pain. "Are you kidding me?" he asks in disbelief. "If Satomi-kun doesn't stop, I'm going to come down his throat and all over his pretty face."
Just the thought of it makes Satomi's heart race. "So?" he says. He doesn't try to hide his confusion, because none of this is making sense. If he's making Kyouji feel good, then… "I want you to."

She’d thought about how Daisuke was well-liked, well-respected, and quietly pitied among the villagers.
She’d thought about how much lighter burdens became when they were shared.
And she’d thought about that youkai.
