Summary
After the fallout of a disastrous attempt to free their love from the shackles of the monarchy and dueling expectations, Andrealphus and Vassago find themselves on opposing sides of a different kind of war-a cold war. A war waged not with magic and hands but hearts and minds, and the thorny question of how one can be redeemed after fucking up fatally. Thankfully Vassago has a lot of patience, and a lot of friends to try and sort it out.

Summary
Andrealphus didn’t respond, picking the menu up again just for something to do, as if he hadn’t known ahead of time what he was going to order. He hoped Vassago wouldn’t ask what he was planning on eating. He would really rather just pretend he was out to eat alone.
“What are you going to order?”
Seven Hells.
Sighing, he folded the menu over and placed it back down in front of him.
“I thought I might try the veal,” Andrealphus responded, making a show of swirling the wine in his glass and inhaling the scent before taking a sip. Vassago hummed a little and looked down back at the menu pensively. “Can you not read?”
Vassago looked up sharply, and then laughed, a deep throaty chuckle that made Andrealphus feel a little unsettled. He hadn’t really been joking.
