I step into the diner, and it's like time stops moving once I hear the chime of the bell. As always, my eyes dart to the left, looking for our booth; I'm not surprised when I see Jughead Jones there, just like the old days.
The instant his blue eyes look into mine, my hands stop their tremors, and my shoulders relax... Because I know those blue eyes. Not only that, but I know those blue eyes know me, too.
“Jessica?” He looks at me like he can't believe it.
I mock his tone, “Jughead?”

Jessica Middlebrook was born and raised in Riverdale, at least until her family split and moved to New York. Jughead Jones was the love of her young life- or just a childhood crush, she can't quite say. Two years later, she moves back into town, alone.
