Summary
Neil stared at the orange bottle in his hand for a considerable time.
It didn’t feel that way, but it must have been, because Kevin was already shuffling inside their dorm with a groan, tossing his bag haphazardly onto the couch. Neil had returned from the pharmacy at 2:00, and his annoying roommate didn’t normally get back until at least 4:00, spending his Tuesday afternoons with his study group.
Kevin stopped short when he spotted the item of Neil’s focus, the room returning to the near-stillness that had inhabited moments prior. Neil didn’t bother to look up from where he sat on the beanbag, but he shifted his gaze from the little white pills, and he opted to stare at the wall instead. He hoped that if he ignored Kevin long enough, then he wouldn’t bother with the pitying words and pointless anger. He was wrong. He always underestimated how hard Kevin’s head could be.
“Neil, you don’t need to take them.” Kevin shuffled closer, Neil fisted the bottle tighter. “We’ll figure it out, your uncle-”
“My uncle wants me to. He won’t help.”

Post-canon, Neil is prescribed the same medication Andrew took.
