Summary
Going to their first Pride parade as a couple, even if nobody knew, was a big milestone for Kit and Joe. Coincidentally it was also Kit’s first Pride out of the closet, and it was a once-in-a-lifetime feeling. Joe was being his usual self, dancing, singing, clinging to his friends and coworkers. And also flipping off a bunch of homophobes. To Kit, it was very hot. But it wasn’t nice, they could’ve just ignored them.

Summary
Nick is a lawyer working on a case about a possibly looted ancient greek vase. Charlie is a young professor of Classics and Art History.
This story is Pride and Prejudice-esque, but not very faithful to it at all.Featuring gratuitous descriptions of Boston and its public transit, at least one trip to a museum, some political commentary, and shirtless running.
Pride and Prejudice story line ends at Chapter 18.
Chapter 19+ is tying up the rest of the plot and lots of cute dates.Warnings: mis-gendering, stalking, discussion of disordered eating patterns, discussion of anxiety, swearing, non consensual touching, implied dating violence (to people who aren't characters in this story)

This was based off a Plot Bunny by BluestJM that said "using your bff as a wingman to forget that you actually only want him"
For context: In this AU, Nick and Charlie never got together at Truham and Nick didn't have his Bi awakening but they became really good friends. Charlie was on-and-off with Ben for years. Nick went to Leeds for Uni and Charlie went too the following year and now they're living together in a 2-bedroom flat. Oh look... they were roommates. I wonder how this will end haha.
