Will blinked up at him in a daze, eyes wide and cheeks gaining a tint of pink again.

Will has many gifts. Creativity, friendliness, intelligence...
Unfortunately, he is also very, very stubborn. He also refuses to take care of himself. Which means he regularly wears his binder for days.
When his boyfriend Mike, who's pretty tired of Will's bad self-care habits, finds out that Will's been binding for a week and refusing to do any self-care despite being on his period, he makes Will stop and let Mike take care of him. Major fluff ensues.

Will shrugs his shoulders and answers the question himself. “Well, I mean, it’s more helpful having two babysitters than just one.”
A moment passes. Ashley keeps poking. “Yeah, but we see you and Mike drop off Holly everyday at school.” She counters, contemplative and thinking. “You don’t need two babysitters for one kid.” She points out matter-of-factly.
or: mike and will babysit holly's friends for a bit. they make an errand to the wheeler house and learn that babysitting can get annoying, fast.

“You’re back,” Mike states as his wide eyes catch Will’s.
Will just tilts his head at him as he takes his seat. “Yeah, I said I would be.”
“Right, obviously,” Mike mutters before stabbing his chicken sandwich with his toothpick.
“What?” Will asks despite every inkling in his body telling him to drop this conversation and just pick up his burger. “Did you think I was just going to leave?”
“No, I-”
“Because I wouldn’t just…” Will cuts himself off before he can finish and looks down at his plate instead, the unsaid words resting bitter on his tongue. I wouldn’t just leave with no explanation. Not like you did.
----------After everything they've been through, it is Mike who rips off the final band-aid of their friendship. Years pass of Will pretending like he never thinks about Mike at all. Years pass of him forging his own life and finally letting go.
But when a young boy shows up at Will's apartment, it becomes clear that he'll never fully be done with Mike Wheeler.

Will, somehow reading his thoughts, draped a jacket over his shoulders.
‘Everything I’ve ever done, everything I ever do, every place I’ve ever been, everywhere I’m going to-‘

Mike peeked one eye open, peering over at Will. He had a soft look on his face again, unabashedly staring at Mike while he thought he wasn’t looking. The wind was blowing at his hair, tousling his overgrown bangs, and he was just… ethereal.
Mike and Will’s journey into adulthood, and toward each other, with just a couple bumps along the way.
