Summary
“You’ve been dragging us to bumfuck nowhere with that mating call for three years when you hear there’s a sighting. But we’ve never considered: what happens if Bigfoot answers it? That’s the goal, isn’t it? You’ve been after that good, good Bigfoot dick this whole time!”
Dex sputters. “I don’t want to fuck Bigfoot! Jesus, Nurse!” He glances at the others, disbelieving. “Back me up here, guys.”
Silence. Lardo says, “You do own a Bigfoot mating call, dude.”

Summary
If he really has to lose Kravitz, which he probably will, this might be the perfect way to do it. Give it a month, maybe two, and Kravitz will realize that Taako is fundamentally broken as a person, and it’ll be absolutely fucking fine. He probably couldn’t have scripted it better himself.
Okay, great. That’s his out. All he has to do is bide his time and let the relationship run its course. The plan is, as far as he can tell, flawless.
Except it’s not.

Summary
“My d-man just came out to his family, but some of his soon-to-be in-laws having some trouble processing because they’re disgusting upper-class fucks. As such, he may or may not require the services of someone willing to be his one-time date, so obviously, I thought of the most beautiful man I know.”
“Aw, Shits—” Derek begins.
“But since Jack Zimmerman is both an NHL player and in a relationship, I decided you’d do.”

Summary
Three days before his two-year Samwell reunion, Derek wakes up to find he doesn’t belong in his apartment anymore. As he jolts awake in a cold sweat from a dream he only half-remembers, exhaling a name he doesn’t let himself think about anymore, the only thing he can think is I need to go home.
Yeah, he loves California—not like New York, because New York is and will always be one of the great loves of his life—but loves it all the same, the mountains that roll into the bay like discarded scarves and the fog unfurling over San Francisco before the light has the chance to take charge and the dark gold the sun brings out in his skin. He's happy. Probably. Maybe this is what happy is supposed to feel like.
But the morning Derek wakes up with Will’s name on his lips is the morning home stops feeling like home.
In which nobody deals with their feelings, at all, ever. Until they do.

Summary
"Byers does this thing every semester called the Muse Project, where you pick a person or a subject and your final piece for the course has to focus on them. Then at the end of the semester, there’s this coffeehouse where everyone invites their muse and shares their work. So obviously everyone picks whoever they’re dating at the time, and then they break up halfway through the semester and all the writing turns super angsty. Which would be fine, except I don’t write about people, like, ever.”
That’s a lie. He does write about people, but always in an abstract sense, and never more than once—the curve of a hip under his hand or the promise of a kiss on his neck, nothing you could spend a semester on. Before Samwell, and sometimes still, there never seems to be anyone permanent enough to write about.
A minute or so goes by before Dex speaks. “Does it have to be romantic?”
“Uh, no, not really. Just someone that inspires you.”
“So write about me.”

Summary
He remembers the twins Edward and Lydia, the older kids, the neighborhood bullies, laughing and making fun of them when Taako had declared, proud and with a gap between his front teeth, that he was going to marry Kravitz when they grew up. The twins had said that boys couldn’t marry boys and Taako had been so furious he was shaking, his ears and the back of his freckled neck flushed bright red and Kravitz had grabbed his hand and squeezed it hard, never wanting to let go.
They were ten and thought that every plan they made would become reality.

Summary
Derek would be the number one pick if it weren’t for Poindexter, which everyone knows just as well as he does, and as such, the media takes a perverse pleasure in building up their rivalry.
Well.
Can it be a rivalry if they’ve never met?
Based on the mixture of resignation and anger that Derek feels every time someone asks him about Poindexter—which is all the fucking time—he’s guessing yes.
