Summary
Lena's birthday is the only one that hasn't been celebrated, when the Super Friends notice they decide to change that. There is only one problem: they don't know when the world-saving genius was born.
They will soon find that there is a reason for that, Lena will have to face the past and deal with the unexpected. The surprise party will only lead to more surprises and Lena will start a journey that will hopefully end up showing her that she is loved and, hopefully, she will end up having a completely happy birthday at some point...
(This story starts with Lena's birthday, but won't focus solely on that).

What if Lena and Kara had met before Kara put on the cape?
“Metropolis Monarchs? Really? I think you would look better in one of those,” a blonde girl signalled to a National City Narwhals jersey.
“National City Narwhals? No, thank you,” she turned to give her a sarcastic smile.
“Well, they are the Champions,” she shrugged innocently, a huge contrast to the almost mocking smile on her face.
“It’s just a matter of time for the Monarchs to take that title back.”
“I don’t think so,” she mocked, “I think they would rather start thinking of changing their name, there was a time when they would rule the League, but that is history. How long has it been? Twenty years?.”
“Almost thirteen,” she muttered, “And National City Narwhals? There aren’t even Narwhals in California, so don’t mock the Monarchs.”
“You are just salty that they took the title from the Monarchs and hadn’t been able to defeat them in any game since that time. It’s just a matter of time for the Narwhals to tie their record as the team with the most won World Series, 24. And a little more for them to establish a new record too”.

Summary
No one but them knows what’s going on in their relationship, but that doesn’t mean that they are not supporting them fully; they have been almost girlfriends for years and now they are girlfriends, that’s all they know. But they wouldn’t be surprised if they suddenly announced they were getting married.
But what would happen if they went on a mini-vacation being fully in love, after already discussing marriage and adoption?
“So make her my official daughter-in-law and a grandma”, she pointed at Kara, whose sixth milkshake went down the other way, making her cough violently.
“Are you going to the USA Championship? I can go with you; we will have a mini-vacation. Where are we going?”, she said excitedly, “That’s if you want of course”, she added nervously.
“I promise to be the version of me that you deserve, and I feel like I’m rambling and that’s more your thing”, she nervously laughed, “Kara Danvers, Kara Zor-El, Supergirl, my hero, my Kara. Will you honour me with the pleasure of saying that I’m your wife?”.
