Todd drops his head down, lets his chin sit near his chest, and then looks across to Neil’s bed. No one’s made it while Todd’s been sleeping, and he climbs out of his own, sits down on the mattress, and grips onto the blankets. He feels the rough material between his fingers, and brings it up to his face. Presses his nose into it, longing to feel the heat of Neil in it still. He could go into the wardrobe, he thinks, and run his fingers along the edge of Neil’s clothes. Remember happier days of a time he wore each one.

Eddie stills, his head lifting, his eyes drifting slowly up to meet with Buck’s. There’s something like hurt in them, the brown of them shining. “Huh?”
“I mean,” Buck hurries, keen to remove any semblance of pain from Eddie’s expression as quickly as possible, “Isn’t it weird how not weird this is? Like isn’t it weird how right this is?” He moves his hand from where it’s been resting on Eddie’s shoulder, and brings it up to play with a strand of hair that’s curling around Eddie’s ear.
“Buck,” Eddie says, sighing, leaning down, and in. “Please don’t say shit like that when I’m literally inside of you.”

Logan’s aware of his reputation; a man of few words and fewer emotions: a killer, a weapon. Ruthless, drunk, and mean.
It’s hard for him to think that he needs to shake this reputation, because so much of it is just so true. He is a killer, he is a weapon, and while he’s trying hard to break the cycle, a lot of the time, he is a drunk.
The one thing that’s wrong though?
Logan feels. So much. He feels all the time. Wishes desperately that he could stop feeling. After all, why would someone with no emotions need to drink until they fell down?
But the world - well, his world - saw him as some pathetic nothing, and it’s hard to shake a reputation that you feel is keeping you safe. Besides, there was never anyone around who cared enough to want to see Logan for who he truly was. There was no one left worth burdening his emotions with.

He meets Althea almost immediately, literally runs into her when they come across each other in the hallway, and he’s suitably apologetic. She grabs at his arm, makes an appreciative sound, and immediately starts telling him about ‘My wonderful young roommate, Wade, why I really think you’d like him, and what’s your name, by the way, young man?’
And it’s been a while since he even dated anyone, sure, but he’s new to the area, and his priority is making sure Laura is settled and safe, and so he makes vague noises in response and doesn’t ask any further questions, hoping Althea will get the hint and leave well alone.
She doesn’t, obviously, but he quite likes the routine they develop anyway, where he walks her and her groceries to her door, and she feels up his arms and then gushes about Wade.
He doesn’t meet Wade himself, so it’s not like it really matters.
And then he does. And it does.
