“Lily,” Hayden says automatically. “You know about Lily?”
Something flickers across Rozanov’s face. His jaw twitches. “Yes, I know about Lily.” He raises his eyebrows.
Hayden feels like a complete asshole, all of a sudden. There’s just been too much going on to even think about Shane’s mystery girlfriend. “Shit, I should probably, like, call her, or something? I don’t know this girl at all, but Shane’s been obsessed with her for years. If she was watching the game, she would have seen him get hurt.”
“You don’t need to call her,” Rozanov says, and when Hayden glances at him, he still looks fucking miserable but now he’s rolling his eyes, a much more familiar expression of disdain on his face. “She’s sitting right here.”

Summary
As he made his way downstairs towards the sound, he realised where it was coming from.
The little red light over the safe haven box was lit up, indicating a baby has been placed inside.
Buck practically ran the rest of the way towards the east wall of the firehouse, where the box was located. The bay door was open, as a soft patter of rain made its way inside. He almost slipped on the puddle in his hurriedness to get to the door, but he managed to go without injury, finally finding himself in front of the small door. He opened it, and the alarm immediately stopped.
The baby inside was so small, at first he couldn't distinguish where they started and the soft lavender-coloured blanket ended. He picked up the bundle, bringing it to his chest, cradling it softly.
"I got ya, I got ya," he whispered, rocking the baby gently, keeping it close.
or: Abuela passes away, Eddie leaves for El Paso, and Buck adopts a baby; in that order

"Hear me out," Buck said. "Clearly, both of us are sick of dating other people. And we're a good fit, in pretty much every way that matters. So what if we're not in love? We don't need to be in love to be happy together."
Eddie frowned. "So basically, we'd be boyfriends, without benefits?"
"Yes!" Buck snapped his fingers. "Like platonic boyfriends! We'd get all the benefits of a relationship and none of the heartbreak."
And maybe Eddie had finally lost his mind, or maybe it was from all the alcohol clouding his judgment, but the idea of it didn't sound half as crazy as it should have.
