Summary
Eddie glares at him, the tip of his ears pink, “Buck, you can’t just—You can’t just kiss me to win a fucking argument!” he says, almost scandalized.
Buck’s grin widens, “Right…” he replies, then adds with a teasing tone in his voice, narrowing his eyes, “But it worked, though, didn’t it?”
“No,” Eddie scoffs, shaking his head, “Shut up.”
(Or, Buck has been living with Eddie for months, and he is definitely not in love with him, except, yeah, he sort of is. Cue to, extreme measures being taken.)

Summary
Everything moves so fast, the scene a muddled chaos of firefighters darting back and forth, quelling a potential fire from the third car just in time as the driver and passenger - thankfully seemingly uninjured - are guided in the direction of more paramedics, foil blankets being draped over their arms.
“Where’s the driver of the truck?” Buck takes a moment to catch his breath as he reaches his captain’s side. “Did the 133 get them out already, are they okay?”
Bobby takes a moment to respond, mouth opening and closing in hesitation as his gaze switches focus from Buck to the truck.
The truck.
Eddie’s truck.
Eddie gets hurt, Buck moves in with him whilst he recovers, and slowly this thing between them just sort of happens.

Summary
“Do you have a problem with heated blankets or something?”
Does Eddie have a problem with—yes, obviously he has a problem with heated blankets.
“We’re firefighters,” Eddie tries, attempting not to let on about his irrational hatred for an inanimate object. “We know better than to use heated blankets.”
Good, that was good. Rational, logical, excellent. Surely Buck will—
“Exactly,” Buck responds. “We’re firefighters. We know how to use them safely.”
“When I was a kid, my friend’s grandma had one catch fire while she was using it,” Eddie blurts out. “Is that what you want to happen to us while we’re sleeping?”
Buck snorts. “At least she wasn’t cold.”

(Eddie hates heated blankets. Buck has a cuddly solution.)

Summary
The guy who walks by their table is tall, not obnoxiously so, but a good height. And thick. Broad-shouldered. Big, strong arms. Biceps stretching the credulity of the seams of his short-sleeved polo. And a waist that would make Eddie’s hand’s look normal-sized.
Heat swirls in Eddie’s stomach and he takes a slow sip of his drink, letting rum slide down his throat.
Four sets of eyes silently turn to him.
