Summary
As if Noctis's debilitating childhood injury, the death of his mother, and his destiny as the King of Light weren't enough, he was also cursed. He, for the most part had learned to manage it, even sometimes control it, but it was for the most part unpredictable - especially the part where once Ignis and Gladiolus had officially been sworn in as his Shield and Chamberlain, the curse affected them both.
Prompto was Noctis's best friend, but he was never supposed to find out about his secrets. Prompto's habit of nursing hurt animals back to health made that a little difficult.

Prompto doesn’t need the chancellor’s crooked finger to prompt his lines. “Until the day a peace treaty is signed, I intend to remain in Insomnia, if Your Majesty is willing to host me.”
There is a long, considering silence. “We will speak plainly,” the king says. “You would surrender yourself as hostage to Lucis against further Niflheim aggression?”
The chancellor smiles before turning back to the king, and there is little Prompto can do to calm his racing heart. “It will be an easy thing, should Your Majesty hold fast to your honor.”

“Ah, we have places to be Vi. Now come on,” She murmured lowly before stepping out of Vi’s arms and towards the door. Vi let out a dramatic groan as she followed close behind Caitlyn with dragged feet. Caitlyn stopped abruptly, almost leading them both to crash into each other and spun around to face Vi. She leant down next to her ear and puffed a hot breath before speaking slowly, “If you behave yourself today… you can do whatever you’d like with me when we return.”
Vi’s breath caught in her throat and she tilted her head slightly to brush her lips along Caitlyn’s jaw, “And if I dont?”
Caitlyn leant back with a devilish smile and traced a line up from the curve of Vi’s breasts to her chin using the leverage to tilt Vi’s head up as Caitlyn lowered her plush lips to her ear.
“Then I get to do whatever I want with you.”
