Morgan nods, solemnly. He reaches over, pressing the back of his hand to Spencer’s forehead. He definitely feels feverishly warm, but not enough for it to be dangerous, at least not yet.
"I'm so sorry this is happening to you, pretty boy,” Morgan says, gently smoothing the hair back off Reid’s sweaty forehead. “And I swear, as soon as you're better, I'm gonna do everything I can to put the sick fuck who did this to you behind bars. But for right now, I just need you to know I’m here for you, okay? I'm gonna help you get through this. You can trust me, kid. I've got you."

It’s such a simple, obvious solution, it almost feels beneath him. But, at the same time, it would be nice to brush off this entire situation, move past it. Push away any possible suspicion that the stupid toy was purchased by him, once and for all.
It would be incredibly bizarre for some random guy Mac matched with on a dating website to somehow figure out his address and send him a lewd, weird, sexual gift, but guys on dating sites are, in fact, notorious weirdos. It’s not on Dennis to justify why unhinged men do the things they do, and Mac already seems surprisingly willing to go along with this whole thing, so at the end of the day, truly, why not?
Dennis pauses for only a moment longer, then grabs his phone.
