Rhaenyra looked at Alicent from top to bottom, drinking her in. Without any trace of shame, her eyes stopped at her cleavage. The smooth skin seemed to glow under the flames. Taking a step closer – so close she could feel Alicent’s body heat –, she inhaled heavily, like Syrax would do when smelling the prey she was about to devour. The scent of lavender invaded her nostrils.
This made Rhaenyra smile.
“I think you know exactly why you are here, Alicent.” She whispered, looking deep into her eyes.
“Do I?” The Queen’s body seemed to vibrate, even if she was trying to hide it.

‘I promise you, Vi: she’s the real deal.’
Vi rocks back in her chair, folding her arms and pursing her lips. Her gut is normally trustworthy, and her gut is yelling at her to run the fuck away from this one.
But the tour is only days away. Tickets aren't selling, and from what she can see on social media it's because people are worried they're just going to cancel from the lack of a bass guitarist. Her options have been dwindling rapidly, and the only one she has left now is on her producer's desk, peering up at her from glossy stock paper, looking as unimpressed by the situation as Vi feels.
She rocks forwards again, staring hard at the image. This woman — this Caitlyn — is holding the guitar comfortably between her hands, her fingers are positioned correctly along its strings, and Vi supposes that perhaps it's not all carefully-styled bluster.
This is gonna be nothing but trouble, she thinks bitterly.

This first month since her father got back from prison has been inarguably worse, almost numbingly so, April going about her routine like a robot, paralyzed of what will happen if she breaks it. It’s been day after day of school, clubs, dinner, homework, lying awake in bed, heart pounding fast with fear about what resides in her house, finally falling asleep, having an erotic dream about Sterling Wesley, waking up in a state of both fear and arousal, taking a very long shower, repeat.
It’s been exhausting to say the least. And April’s not stupid, she’s known it would have to end at some point.
She just didn’t expect it to end with a fire on her front lawn.

“But!” Blair says, grinning, “our party is so going to be better than yours.”
“Oh, you’re so on.”
“Can we not?” Sterling asks. They both ignore her.
It becomes a sort of competition then, to see who can have the better party. All under the guise of good fun of course. But April will not lose.

Summary
“You’re impossible,” April says, just a hair softer than before, but enough for Sterling to notice.
Then she’s turning around and jogging away, and Sterling notices the way her t-shirt rides up her lower back, the winter sunlight striking the inch of exposed skin rebelliously peeking through. Sterling swallows, watching the way the muscles in April's thighs tense and release with each purposeful step, and almost falls over again.
“Blair,” she hisses, once they’re finally released from gym class, “something crazy just happened, for the first time in months, since everything, I was… horny again.”
If Sterling’s not mistaken, something like a tear forms in Blair’s eye, before she’s crushing Sterling in a hug.
“I’ve never been more proud of you.”
