Summary
It’s four in the morning and Bobbi should really be asleep, but her eyes refuse to close, and her mind refuses to stop, and her hand keeps writing and writing and writing until she can’t quite feel to grip anymore and she can’t even reach up to her nose to wipe away the drip that was brought on by the winter cold, but it’s really all her fault anyway, because not only is she the one who decided to be hopped up on speed and uppers and whatever else, she couldn’t quite even remember what she’d taken, man. An' she’s also to blame for the runny nose because she oughta’ve known better and oughta’ve worn a heavier jacket, so really it’s just her to blame like it is for everything and she begins to wonder if screwing up is all she can do at this point. She really should go to sleep.

Summary
Bobbi’s hands were always cold. This was something that Joan had noticed. Bobbi’s hands could belong to a corpse. They were pale, thin, and veiny, like paper stretched over bone. Perhaps that was why they were always in motion. Playing guitar, smoking a cigarette, clacking away on a typewriter, feeling Joan up, scribbling with a pen, fiddling with something or the other. It didn’t really matter what it was. It was an interesting quality. Joan found everything about Bobbi interesting. She knew she wasn’t the only one enraptured by the curly haired girl. Hell, every teenager in America with a record player was obsessed with Bobbi Dylan in one way or another. If Joan was to be declared the Queen of the Folk-Singers, Bobbi Dylan was the rogue wanderer who trespassed into the palace and stole the crown jewels. Bobbi Dylan, the poet extraordinaire, the folk music prodigy, and the most infuriating bitch that Joan had ever met.
