“I have never lied to you, Sidon. I meant everything I said. But you’re being delusional!” Regardless of what either of them wanted, it had always been clear they could not be together.
“How dare you say that to me?” Sidon had thought his heart was already broken, but this proved there was yet still more to break. “I would… would give it all up for you,” he couldn’t stop the tears anymore.
“No! Shut up!” Link cried furiously, struggling against Sidon’s huge arms and kicking at his abdomen to no avail. The Zora prince was too strong. “Are you hearing yourself right now? The man I…” he swallowed, “The man I know would NEVER abandon his duty to his people. And whether you would or not, I have no choice but to see this through.”
Link disappeared after the night he and Sidon shared. After almost a year he has finally returned to Zora's Domain, but the reunion is nothing like Sidon had hoped...

“Are we?” Link asked, far too quickly. It caught Sidon off guard.
“Of course we–” when he looked back into the swordsman’s turquoise eyes, understanding clicked into place. Perhaps they were more than friends. Or they wished to be.
Sidon and Link are the honored heroes of Zora’s Domain. Through their shared hardship and Link’s extended recovery in the domain, the two have become fast friends. But on what could be their final night, the night of the Champion’s Ball, everything changes between them.
