Summary
It has been over a year since Orion Black was discovered dead by his 15 year old son and the authorities have been unable to produce a single suspect, let alone make an arrest. It was an isolated event then; troubling but not that concerning as the man did make enemies along the way.
In present time, with Walburga Black turning up dead in an eerily similar fashion and the murders becoming high profile, the police have no choice but to prioritize this investigation over the others. However, Regulus Black has little to no faith in them. Taking matters into his own hands might not be everyone’s advice to him but that hardly mattered to him. If someone was after his parents, they could come after him, too. They could target his brother, his cousins, and anyone else he cared about.
As Regulus spirals into obsession, his relentless search for answers threatens to consume him. Yet, James Potter continues to pull him back from the brink of madness—always just in time, though perhaps never soon enough

Summary
The first thing Percival Graves does after being released back into the world is buy a new wand. The Aurors recovered his ebony wand from Grindelwald but Graves can’t even look at it, let alone pick it up. He goes to Greymalkin’s the minute he’s let out of the hospital and tries half a dozen wands. Some spark, a few smoke, but only one really works. The wand that chooses him is raw aspen, whiter than bone and so rough that Graves gives himself a splinter conjuring up a storm of brilliant red birds.
Greymalkin eyes the wand distrustfully. “Eleven and a half inches,” he says, sounding sour. “With a dragon heartstring core. One of Ollivander’s. Shoddy work, if you ask me.”
The wand hums against his fingertips. Graves buys it, tucks it up under his sleeve, and keeps it there, splinters and all, until he manages to fall into a fitful sleep later that night.
The second thing Graves does is quit his job, because honestly.
The third thing Graves does is get jumped by Credence Barebone in an alley.

Summary
Regulus black deserved to die at the cave, yet he didn't. He survived and is now living with the burden of what that means.
Harry Potter makes it worth it. Regulus will continue to survive for him.
Harry, however, is sick of people dying for him. Good thing he was raised by a very wise wizard and has very wise friends.

Summary
If someone had asked Regulus Black what his biggest regret was, he would be caught between letting Sirius leave him behind in Grimmauld Place or becoming a member of a fanatical pureblood supremacist cult.
He had thought perhaps one day he could fix all of the words unsaid and apologies not yet given. But walking into a cave and drowning put a damper on that.
Until fate aligns and he finds himself back in 1975, the night that Sirius had run away and been blasted off the tapestry by Regulus' own wand. The night when everything had begun to tear at the seams, when Walburga and Orion Black had sold the spare to the Cause, a poor replacement for what the Dark Lord had been promised.
Regulus has to decide if he's willing to regret losing his brother all over again or else draw the wrath of both the Death Eaters and the House of Black.
