Summary
Zagreus seems unusually bothered by his desire to see the surface, so Melinoë removes his tie/curse to the Underworld and takes him on a trip to experience what he's missed. Together, the siblings learn about each other's ambitions and life on the surface, though not without friction.
“Could you take me to the surface?” Zagreus asked after a pause.
“Yes,” she said. “I’d be glad to.” Melinoë took a breath, savoring the damp chthonic air. She preferred the scent of deathly life in Erebus, but this felt right too. “May I ask why you would like to see the surface so badly?”
Zagreus winced. “I’m not sure you’d understand. It’s something I have to do.”
“I do, Zag. I was born to do what I do, but it took so long before I was able…I wanted my family. I wanted my big brother.”
“You don’t. It’s more personal than that.”
“Zagreus…” It stung. “You can’t say that.” She wanted to say something worse but didn’t want to hurt him.
“I’ll tell you another time.” Zagreus ran a hand through his hair. His eyes darted around, looking for an escape.

In which Elliott has a bad case of writer's block. He needs to get a commissioned magazine article done so he can have money to support writing his novel, but he can't get a single word out!
"He felt like he was making progress by taking all those notes, but he knew in his heart that it wasn’t progress—just stalling. He could say he was merely improving his craft, but his actual projects had nothing to do with poetry. Elliott needed to get the article done, and then work on the novel. He’d tried everything to get writing again: skipping over that section of the article and working on another, long baths, free poetry, long walks, writing stream-of-consciousness. "

In honour of the coming of age of Her Most Serene Highness, Crown Prince Kiriona Gaia, the Emperor Undying extends an invitation to the most eligible women of his nine Houses for ten days of merriment and celebration, concluding with the marriage of the Crown Prince to whomever she deems fit.
The celebrations will begin nine days before the summer solstice, such that the Crown Prince will be married upon the solstice day. We kindly request no more than five ladies be sent per House, to encourage more personal connections between the Prince and the suitors.

“You— hah, missed the best part,” Zagreus wheezed, a breathy laugh escaping him. “I… must have put on quite the show, I’d say.”
Thanatos’ hand brushed the side of his face, and Zagreus leaned into the touch. Warm, he noted, with some surprise. Thanatos was never warm. “I’m here now.” He took Zagreus’ hand in his, lacing their fingers together firmly. “I’m right here.”
Zagreus was used to dying— hard not to be, with the frequency he did it. He’d even go so far as to say he had mastered the art.
Usually, by now, the Styx would have swallowed him, bearing his body back home; yet this time, Zagreus knew he wouldn’t be so lucky. For whatever reason, it seemed he would be getting the full, unabridged experience of a mortal death. How fortunate he was.
