Summary
Despite being very certain that he could make it through a season on the ton without finding himself entangled in an engagement, Zagreus finds the meat market more overwhelming than he'd anticipated. He needs to succeed, in order to beat his father at his own game - in order to return home and marry his love, rather than someone his father finds acceptable.
Thankfully, a Marquis similarly disinclined to marry this season has extended to Zagreus a most peculiar offer - a seasonal engagement with a fixed end date. For the rest of the months in London, they shall enjoy being off the market.

it had been just a few hours since their extreme act, and he was supposed to be chanting and celebrating to the republic with the others (unaware that they should be running, instead). but there he was, sitting on the corner of caesar's bed. he was already losing his mind, the once-solid consciousness now breaking apart, sick and dying, flaking off his own fingers. this one act shouldn’t have been the one to seal his fate– that had happened when he’d learnt what the dictator’s blood smelled like.
he could barely blink without seeing him: covered in red, penetrated by daggers, shiny little things that had no business being that deadly, turning to look at him.
the sense of betrayal distorting his face along with pain was for brutus.

A heavy paw settles on Izuku’s shoulder. “You make a habit out of dancing with assholes, Deku?”
Izuku’s heart beats hummingbird-quick.
“Hi, Kacchan.”
The answering growl reverberating up Izuku’s spine is enough to make him shudder. Katsuki doesn’t move to take his paw away. He leans down, pressing the cold metal of his muzzle to Izuku’s cheek.
“Hi, puppy.”

When Yuri got home that night, he couldn't help himself. He lifted the fabric to his face and inhaled. Their scents had faded a little, but it still smelled like Victor and Yuuri, mixed with his own scent. This was what it would smell like if he were theirs. If they were his. This was what it would smell like every day, if he lived in a world where they wanted him. He took another deep sniff-- champagne and fresh ice and saltwater and metal and Yuri-- and then, instead of throwing it in the wash like he should have, he brought the hoodie with him to bed.
He wore it the next day, and if anybody noticed that he smelled like Victor and Katsudon, they didn't say anything.
