“Family of Eddie Diaz?”
Buck nearly trips over himself, standing up. “Yes?”
He looks at Buck with an arched brow behind wire-framed glasses. “You're family?”
A vaguely familiar voice answers before Buck can open his mouth.
“Oh, that's his husband.” Another nurse, a short woman with round cheeks and blonde hair, smiles at them.
The first nurse just nods and motions to Buck. “Right this way then, Mr. Diaz.”
“Um,” Buck says. “It's Buckley.”
He doesn't correct either nurse on… that other thing.-
or: Eddie takes a nasty fall and Buck realizes that he's already fallen. Meanwhile, a familiar face keeps on thinking they're married, for some reason.

“Yeah, about that.” Harry interrupted, and May sighed. So much for subtlety, she supposed. “You and Eddie.”
“Are best friends.” He answered, with the finality of a conversation finished.
Buck might be used to being the annoying little brother, and May might be used to being the tired older sister, but Harry was ready in a way May had to find a little funny.
“I was going to say super gay.” Harry answered casually.
Buck sputtered. “I’m bisexual and you know I’m bisexual.”
“Okay and what’s his excuse?”

Summary
Buck has travelled so far, but always dodged almost any flight he could take, even if it would make his life easier. Eddie hasn’t pressed about it, but Buck has explained further that it isn’t even because he needed the Jeep by his side at all times, but it is because he has always despised flying.
It scares him, sure, but it also makes him feel ill. His stomach twists, his head spins, and he has to fight every urge to throw up. The first time he flew, he spent so long in the bathroom that the air hostess was genuinely concerned he’d passed out in there.
And Eddie, like he does with all the information Buck gifts him, folded it up and tucked it into the Buck folder of his brain for safekeeping.
Knowing this factoid, Eddie just thinks it’s a little ironic that Buck is dating a pilot.

He can barely bring himself to open his eyes. When he finally manages to find the courage, he sees Ravi looking at him with eager anticipation.
“Yes?” Ravi prompts, leaning forward. He waves a hand encouragingly at Buck. “Go on?”
“I think,” Buck says slowly, “I’m in love with Hen.”
