“Ness,” Micha exhales, soft and barely-there. Alexis wishes it was something more corporeal, more real, but even this is more than enough. He feels so warm he could burn alive from the inside.
“Micha,” he replies, or at least he thinks he does, because his words are stolen just as his breath is when Micha kisses him lightly.
A sleepy, quiet evening Alexis and his Micha share in Kaiser’s bedroom. Everything is warm and nothing is wrong.

Before the ceramic could reach his lips, another warmth came over him. Rougher and heavier than the embrace of his coffee, the heat came in the shape of a man clinging to him like a grumpy, oversized cat.
"You woke me up earlier," Kaiser mumbled against the side of Ness's neck, voice groggy from his interrupted slumber. His arms found their rightful place, locked around his waist, staking their claim on what was already theirs.

Summary
Kaiser is allowed to dance, but not for too long. He is allowed to burn, but not too strongly. In the end, it is always Alexis who puts out the fire and pauses the music.
Kaiser is upset after a bad game and lets it out on Ness. Ness is used to Kaiser’s fire, knows how to control its damage and bask in its warmth.
