Hongjoong can get as mad at him as he’d like; he’d rather have a mad captain than a dead one. When Hongjoong tries again to reach around him, Seonghwa uses every inch of height to his advantage. He straightens his spine, pushes his shoulders back, raises his chin, and looks down at Hongjoong over his nose. He’s like a bird ruffling its feathers.
Hongjoong’s eyes glow with contempt. His lips have twisted into a sneer, his hands are balled into fists at his sides.
“Park Seonghwa, I have a knife and a quick hand.”
After too many close calls, Hongjoong is scared, tired, and reckless. Seonghwa finds a way to ease his nerves.
