Heat, solid and unyielding, sears through the fabric of his robes, stealing the breath from his lungs. The forest looms, silent. The wind curls through the trees like whispered secrets. Every nerve screams run—but he cannot move.
"I have you," Sirius murmurs, voice low, dark, reverberating like a vow.
Severus shudders. Not in fear. Not in anything he can name.
Sirius’s hands are on him, branding, possessive, raking up his sides, curling into his waist, breath a ghost against his throat. His scent—smoke, sweat, something dark—coils in Severus’s lungs, heady and intoxicating.
He shouldn’t want this. He doesn’t want this.
And yet—
When Sirius presses him back against the bark, when lips find his skin—teasing, claiming—Severus’s breath stutters. His fingers tighten in Sirius’s hair, torn between pushing him away and pulling him closer.

Summary
When everything at Hogwarts, the Marauder, his mom’s death, his fear, his realization that his life means nothing to anyone, the idea of living alone with his dad, and everything in general, sixteen year old Severus Snape tries to kill himself at the end of his fifth year.
He didn’t expect to fail. And he didn’t expect what the letters he left behind will start on motion.
And since he can’t return to Hogwarts for his own health, he’ll have to find a new school to attend. Or a program allowing him to study at as many schools as he can name.
It's a chance at a new life.
But too bad his old life will never leave him be. Not for long.

Summary
As Severus is about to start his last year at Hogwarts, a familiar stranger encountered on the train platform spurs him to try, for one last time, to mend his lost friendship with Lily.
“Otherwise Harry will die”, they said.
Well. He has no fucking idea who 'Harry' is, and Black is a particular pain in his ass even post-graduation, but Severus just cannot run from a challenge, can he?
After all, winning a war couldn’t be that complicated.
