Summary
Fingers brush a cheek, a thumb rubbing sweetly beneath a weary blue eye. Zoro leans down to press a kiss against his forehead. Another tingle runs through Sanji then, one that’s fluttery and vulnerable, that starts in his heart and thoroughly warms his body whenever Zoro brings out the softer side of himself.
~
Sanji likes it when Zoro treats him softly.

Summary
Sanji pulls his thumb from his mouth to run it under the water. It’s freezing and his thumb stings awfully as he holds it there. The cut is deeper than he thought. Maybe worth a visit to Chopper. That will put his dinner plans on hold until whatever needs to happen happens; be it glue or stitches or a higher grade bandage than what Sanji keeps inside his kitchen.
His blood runs cold as he realises that he isn’t as bothered by all of this as he ought to be.
~
After disposing of the raid suit, Sanji starts to spiral as he worries that he is turning into something he desperately wants not to be. In an effort not to let Sora's sacrifice be in vain, he battles with himself and denial while trying to hide his concerns from a crew who know him well enough to see when he is not as okay as he pretends to be.

Summary
“You were lucky to survive that storm. Heard all about it in the news coo after it struck, how bad it was.”
Discussing it makes the stub of his leg itch. “I’ve sailed through far worse.”
It’s ironic, and another thought that’s hung around his mind like a bad smell, to return to the East Blue from the Grand Line, to trade a notoriously tricky sea for a simpler one, and then to lose his crew to home waters.
“Your son is lucky then,” the captain adds. Zeff blanches. Little surprises him, but at that Zeff nearly chokes.
“He’s not my son,” he sputters.
~
Sanji has never had a home or a dad before the Baratie. Zeff is figuring that out for himself.

Summary
Zoro can’t help but wonder if bad dreams have been the catalyst for every stock take and rationed supply, how many times nightmares have tangled with the necessity of checking what they have so that none of them die at sea.
Last night had been the first time Zoro noticed, but he himself has woken with phantom pains from unconscious memories forced to the forefront of his mind many, many nights. Luffy has woken him a few times with snot dripping from his nose, seeking comfort, wracked with memories of Ace. Franky doesn’t like loud noises, as flashy as he is, and maybe the reason Brook sometimes refuses to come to bed is because he too is haunted by things that have happened in his past.
Perhaps Zoro noticed for the first time last night, but the cook is seasoned at having to find comfort within himself.

Summary
“You couldn’t treat me how you treat the women if it found you your All Blue,” Zoro says.
“I’m telling you that I could do it easily, you shitty bastard. Listen when I’m talking to you!”
“Prove it then," Zoro smirks. "I’ll bet you couldn’t treat me how you treat the women for a week without self imploding.”
~
Sanji and Zoro make a bet. It's the mutual pining brewing between them that makes things complicated.
