Summary
When his cryptid-obsessed friends ask him to drive out to Buttfuck Nowhere, Oregon for the summer in hopes of him getting some photos for their ‘zine, Velvet doesn’t expect much to come of it. He expects maybe a few birds to scare the shit out of him while he’s camping at most, or maybe even a Sasquatch sighting that he’ll later realize was a squirrel (thanks, Punz’s weed brownies).
He doesn’t, however, anticipate befriending a ferocious creature who isn’t human anymore (and possibly never was), or to discover that all local legends have a grain of truth to them.
He certainly doesn’t expect to fall in love, either.
