This crippling, puppy-love-like crush that he had on Satoru made him feel things that he had never felt, or done things he hasn’t even conceived a single thought of doing before: a shaky voice with Satoru asked him for a pencil, the kitted brows when he saw that Satoru didn’t attend the lecture that day, and the resonance of romance poems that he had written down in his frayed, worn-down composition book.
It was one month until he graduated, and he figured that if it weren’t now, then he would never speak to Satoru in a way that permeated surface-level conversations. The typical, one-off interactions they had with each other during class, like asking for a pencil or snarky comments from Satoru about how boring this class was, didn’t satiate the foreign, unknowingly hungry crush that he had on Satoru.
