his eyes went wide, pupils blown, face flushed darker than elliot had ever seen. “elliot?!” his voice cracked, sharp with shock and embarrassment. he scrambled upright, grabbing at the sheets. elliot stood frozen in the doorway, cheeks burning, torn between slamming the door shut and blurting something stupid to break the tension. his heart hammered in his chest, and for a dizzying second, he couldn’t tell if he was more mortified… or curious.
elliot’s first instinct was to turn and bolt out of the room. pretend you never saw anything, pretend you never saw anything, his brain screamed — but his feet refused to move. his breath hitched. chance sat there, flushed and startled, his chest heaving as he scrambled for words. “elliot—shit, you weren’t supposed to—”
“i knocked!” elliot blurted out, his voice high and panicked. “i called, like—like seven times! and you didn’t—so i thought—”

repost cause it buggedhe opened the door expecting—well, maybe a casual greeting. instead, chance stood there with that grin, the kind that looked like it had been brewing all day. “wow,” chance blurted, their voice a little too quick. “you… you dressed up.” they blinked, visibly scrambling. “i mean—not that you don’t always look good—you do—but this is like, ‘oh hey, this guy’s really taking me somewhere nice’ levels of dressed up and i—” elliot tilted his head. “and you… didn’t expect that?”
chance swallowed, clearly losing their grip on whatever smooth act they’d planned. “uh—no, i mean—yes? i mean—listen, i had a plan, okay? like a whole thing. my plan.” they gestured vaguely toward the street. “but now you’re here looking like that and my brain is just—uh—” “you’re rambling,” elliot pointed out, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“yeah,” chance muttered, dragging a hand down their face. “this is going great.”

.Elliot stepped out of his weathered car, a greasy pizza box clutched tightly in his trembling hands. He scanned the darkened street anxiously, his heart pounding in his chest. "Where are you?" he whimpered, a note of desperation creeping into his voice. Suddenly, his arms began to move of their own accord, a ominous red glow encircling them. "Y-You!" Elliot choked out, whirling around to face a nearby bush. Mocking laughter echoed through the air before fading into the night, leaving him staring at the shadows in confusion.
Elliot gets sandwiched by two assholes who argue every 5 seconds
