“Excuse me,” the green-haired stranger says, his tone somewhat polite but laced with impatience. “Are you, by any chance, familiar with these ‘specialties’ that everyone claims are unique to Sunny Bay?” He pronounces “specialties” as though it’s a foreign concept, rolling his eyes.
You blink in surprise, meeting his gaze. Up close, you notice his features are sharp, handsome in a sharp-angled sort of way, and those eyes of his glimmer in an otherworldly shade of green. “Uh, sort of,” you answer. “I’m not exactly local, but I’ve read a bit about them. Maybe I can help?”

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”
