It’s been eight months since Cazador started letting Astarion walk the streets of Baldur’s Gate again, twenty years since he was released from the tomb, and a tenday since Cazador released the compulsions puppeteering him into being a good, sweet little coinlad, capable of dragging half a dozen hapless peasants home with him. He runs the numbers through his head again, counting the paces it takes for him to walk to the Blushing Mermaid, losing track every few hundred. It hardly matters - numbers don’t truthfully matter in the least - but counting had grown into something soothing, he thinks. It’s a pathetic thing - something school children did to fall asleep, but he supposes he’s allowed to be somewhat pathetic in his own worthless little head. It’s proof his brain hadn’t entirely leaked out of his ears since his turning, proof that he’s still a sentient creature - even when it doesn’t entirely feel that way.

Summary
When the PTO invaded Earth, young Bulma Briefs found herself thrown to the bottom of a barrel full of engineers clawing for life just like her. Unlike most of them however, Bulma pulled herself out of the barrel. She rose through the ranks using her intelligence and some well placed bribes, eventually finding herself in the position of Head Overseer of Engineering at the most prestigious base in the entire empire along with her only friend. Hoping she finally has a home she won't ever have to leave, she attempts to settle down for the long run. That is, until she finds someone who holds the same passion for freedom she once did as a child and finds herself tied up in what could be a revolution.

Summary
Yugi hadn’t realized just how much the spirit drained Ryou until it had been finally banished. Part of him felt guilty for this, but he knew there was no way he could have known. For as long as he’d known the boy the spirit had been already attached to him. Still, he should have thought something more of the dark circles under Ryou’s eyes, the long absences, his insistence that things that should hurt or bother him didn’t. He’d assumed Ryou was just a night owl who didn’t sleep much, someone who was sick often, someone who had a high pain tolerance and thick skin. After the visit to Egypt though, he noticed just how much of those things were due to the spirit.
