Summary
Faylen is devastated when she and her adventuring party return to Baldur's Gate to find the head priest of the Open Hand Temple where she was raised murdered. Father Lorgan had a very special gift for her upon her return, but upon his death his priests could not find the key for the box, leaving Faylen to figure out how to get the box open herself. After struggling for some time, Astarion aids her in opening it, and together they find a memory from Faylen's broken past.

I don't know exactly how to summarize this, but basically, my Durge (Faylen) dies a really horrible death in front of Astarion, then makes him promise to live at least as long as he was under Cazador's thumb. Had an idea about a month ago after completing Astarion's romance for the first time and really wanted to make myself hurt, so here it is. Idea was basically: “Lol what if vampires can’t cry and Durge dies and the first and only time Astarion cries is while about to die on Durge’s grave.” and I kind of took that and ran with it sooooooo. Here we are.
Please be kind, I am just now getting back into writing after several years without inspiration. I really appreciate you even taking the time to read this.
