“It’s a gift from Mr. Alex,” said Venice happily and Tay’s eyes widened. He could hear Kinn chuckling next to him, but he decided to ignore him for the time being and he quickly opened up the little piece of paper.
On it, there was a little sunshine with a broad smile and next to it was scribbled a little message, saying Your smile is way warmer than the sun, so smile more from now on ^^.

“Vegas,” Pete whispered, and Vegas responded by slipping one arm around Pete’s waist and tugging him backwards until they were sitting pressed back to chest. Pete’s ass was planted directly on top of Vegas’ crotch and his legs swung awkwardly as if he was still a child too small for his feet to reach the ground.
“If I’m going to behave and sit here through this without complaint, then I get something for my efforts,” Vegas breathed into his ear and Pete could pretend all he wanted that the shiver that ran down his body was from the chilly breeze along the water, but he knew better. Vegas planted his other hand on Pete’s upper thigh and squeezed. Kinn guffawed from his spot across from them and Vegas pulled away from Pete’s ear to rest his chin on Pete’s shoulder. “Something wrong, cousin?”

He waits for the bell to ring and then takes his bag and slips out of the back entrance of his school, where there is no guard at this time of day. There's a safehouse no one else knows about, except him and Vegas and Papa. When it's safe, someone will come for him there.
