It was only at the very end of the day, after the police had confirmed that Zak Gramarye was nowhere within the court buildings and the exhausted security guards, clerks, public onlookers and legal staff are finally allowed to leave for home in dribs and drabs, that Phoenix glanced around Defendant Lobby #2, and noticed her.
Trucy Enigmar was a small, crumpled figure in a red silk tophat. She sat on the couch - the forbidden, accursed brown couch - with her arms around her knees. Nothing good ever happened with that couch involved.

Aziraphale looks at Crowley, the beloved furrow of his brow, the way his lips – made for smiling, for laughter, for that indulgent smile when he does something miraculous just to bring Aziraphale joy – twist downward, at the tension in his slender limbs. Most arresting: the saltwater in his yellow eyes, the mist, the ache. They have been here six thousand times, almost: at the eclipse of their orbit, when they are so close they can almost touch, before they move apart again, before one begins to crest and the other to fall away.
Aziraphale takes a deep breath, and releases it slowly through his nose. No more gravity; no more orbit. In the free fall, the same old laws of motion no longer apply.
“Then come with me,” he says.

“If you’re talking about the invite back to my place, that was a shameless ploy to get you to clean up the holy water and what was left of Ligur,” Crowley says.
It’s a lie – Crowley had been as surprised as anyone to rediscover the remains of his former colleague on the floor of his flat, the night the world didn’t end. What it had been, Aziraphale is sure, was an unsubtle way to say ‘please don’t leave me alone’, a sentiment Aziraphale more than shares. He never intends to leave Crowley alone ever again, if he can help it. He’s had more than enough of that for one eternal lifetime.
“No,” he says, shaking his head. “I’m talking about something else. You suggested that everything, our prevention of Armageddon included, was perhaps part of the Ineffable Plan.”

Summary
When Rumplestiltskin crafted the Curse, he designed it to keep everyone trapped in misery until it could be broken. Any love or happiness found in Storybrooke will be turned to heartbreak and despair, and Rumple - believing Belle dead and with Bae lost beyond the town line - didn't think it would pose a problem. He never imagined that, when the Saviour returned and he regained his memories, his lost love would be walking around town harbouring a crush on his cursed persona, unable and unwilling to stay away from him.
A declaration of love would bring them both a great deal of happiness; it would also bring the Curse crashing down around their ears. Rumple believes he's found a loophole when he agrees to keep their relationship purely physical: casual sex with no strings attached, no feelings and no obligations. Enough to keep her close without making either of them truly happy. However, as time goes on it becomes harder and harder to hide his true feelings, or for Belle to pretend she doesn't feel the same way.

It doesn’t count and it’s not real. They say it, they do it, maybe Miles will take Phoenix’s hand from Phoenix’s lap and hold it at all the red lights between here and the airport—they can allow themselves these things, when everything’s made up and the points don’t matter.
They’ve had the sex, Phoenix has taken his shower, maybe Miles will get soppy and do the thing with the hand in the car but—now they’re done. Until next time.
