"Let's do this again, Mingyu-yah." Wonwoo says, before Mingyu can enter his room.
Mingyu perks up. Wonwoo's pretty sure if he had a tail, it would be wagging. Maybe Wonwoo should invest in those animal ears that move so he can stick one on Mingyu.
"Really?" Mingyu confirms. "You want to go on another date with me?"
Wonwoo chuckles. "Yeah. I had a really good time tonight."
Mingyu nods his head vigorously. "Okay, yes. Yes, I'll check our schedules with Mijoo-ssi so I can plan something. It'll be great."
Mingyu's already turning back to his room, buzzing with excitement. But there is one more thing he needs to tell Mingyu before they call it a night. He's greedy but he isn't stupid.
"Mingyu," Wonwoo calls out. Mingyu turns around, there's a bright smile on his face. "If we're going to keep dating, let's just keep it between the two of us okay?"

Summary
If Wonwoo had known part of this assignment would include taking a pasta making class with one of the most handsome men Wonwoo has ever seen, he might have at least watched some YouTube videos on the subject so he wouldn't be making a complete fool of himself the way he is now.
He just knows Jun and Soonyoung had laughed their asses off at headquarters when they had seen a cooking class included the target's itinerary. Wonwoo can hack into any database, and decode most cipher encryptions faster than anyone else in their team. He can field strip and reassemble his gun in under nineteen seconds. He can navigate the worst of Seoul traffic and lose a tail without turning it into a high speed chase.
He cannot cook to save his life.

Or, Jeon Wonwoo meets Kim Mingyu while on an undercover assignment. They sleep together once and that should be the end of it. The universe has other plans for him and there might be more to Mingyu than meets the eye.

Summary

Or: Wonwoo nearly kisses Mingyu on stage and even though Mingyu's dreamt about the moment for so long, it was never like this. He does the only logical thing—run away.

It takes Wonwoo a moment to realize Mingyu’s talking to him. He looks up again, and finds Mingyu already looking back. “I don’t think so,” he answers. “Why?”
Mingyu shrugs, but Wonwoo thinks he can see the tips of his ears turn red. “I don’t want a repeat of, uh, last time.”
Seokmin laughs. “Oh, you mean when you hooked up with someone right in front of him?” he says gleefully. “And you didn’t realize he was there until-”
“I was there, you know,” Mingyu tells him. “You don’t have to remind me.”(or: mingyu makes the worst first impression in the history of first impressions. wonwoo just wants to maintain plausible deniability.)

Summary

A small nod. “Yes, I’ve started drafting the job posting to find a suitable replacement. Rest assured…”
Mingyu drowns the deep voice of his secretary out as he retrieves the letter of resignation. He pauses to look at it, actually look at it, and proceeds to let out a bark of laughter.
Secretary Jeon pauses his dialogue to stare at his boss, who was bending over with high-pitched laughter. Before he could inquire what the joke was, however, Mingyu walks towards him with the envelope in hand, and roughly rips the the piece of stationery in two.
“No.” He looks at a wide-eyed Wonwoo with a smug expression. “My answer is no. Now leave.”

It’s a good thing. It’s a safe thing, when it comes to Wonwoo and his terrible habit of getting attached, of being suffocating, of being too intense, of simultaneously wanting too much and showing too little.
Mingyu is a good friend and a learning lesson. A good balance to his worst habits.
